Hard drive shim
cults3d
This is really super stupid simple. It's a 1mm high rectangle. What makes it special enough to post on Thingiverse? It's the exact size of a 2.5" hard drive for laptops. I upgraded from a normal hard drive to a solid state hard drive, which is thinner. I printed these shims (some at 50% Z) to stack under the hard drive to make up for the height difference. I figured maybe someone out there can't do 3D design, but has a printer and wants something like this, so I posted it. It's not exciting, it's not pretty, it's not ground-breaking. But it is useful.
