To address this issue, I designed a centrifuge that brings down the cost of a proper microcentrifuge. #What is a Microcentrifuge? A laboratory Centrifuge separates and purifies materials in samples by spinning them at extremely high RPM. Differential Centrifugation, a common use for microcentrifuges, isolates organelles and nucleic acids from cell samples. High-quality microcentrifuges cost around $1,000, while entry-level ones range from $300 to $700, making them inaccessible to many. #Impact of this project This project targets biohacking communities, underprivileged schools, and underfunded hospitals that cannot afford proper equipment. By creating a low-cost microcentrifuge, I aim to provide opportunities in areas where they would otherwise be unavailable. #Instructions Check out my project page on hackster.io for more information: https://www.hackster.io/kemfic/developing-a-low-cost-microcentrifuge-using-e-waste-04b525
