Harbor Freight "track saw"
thingiverse
Track saws are pricey, but companies like Bora offer "saw plates" that work with clamp edge guides to give you many benefits of a track saw. By restricting motion on both sides, you can achieve more accurate cuts without applying sideways force that bends the guide in long cuts, ruining your cut. These saw plates are overpriced for a chunk of plastic and can be easily 3D printed. I created a simple saw plate to fit my metabo circular saw onto Harbor Freight clamp edge guides. Essentially, you can get a track saw for $20 or less, depending on the length of the guide. The plate glides smoothly along the rail, and the saw fits snugly into place. A lip in front allows the saw to push the plate forward without being clamped together, keeping things mechanically simple. I've included freeCAD files so you can adjust the dimensions to fit your saw and guide. I recommend printing it standing upright with the lip against the build plate. The lip printed at 100% infill, while the rest was around 15% infill.
