Harbor Freight Storehouse 93928/93929 bins with snap-in feet and no or minimal supports
prusaprinters
This is the first step in printing my own bins for the Harbor Freight Storehouse cases (items 93928 & 93929). Right now I have only made the small & medium bins (55x40mm and 110x40mm at the rim) as a proof of concept.I didn't want to waste filament (and time) printing support material to elevate the bottom of the bin to make room for the feet, and end up with a scarred bin bottom, so I decided to make the feet separate pieces that are inserted after printing, allowing the bin to be printed directly on the print bed. Only a tiny bit of volume in each bottom corner of the bin is sacrificed to make room to hold the foot (see photo).I also made the bin just a smidge taller than the standard bins so it will seat closer to the lid and (hopefully) prevent parts from slipping out of bins into the void between them, or into other bins (thinking of small washers specifically). The feet can be inserted into the bin fairly easily; by hand, mallet, or arbor press. My plan is to make the OpenSCAD file available and customizable, but for now I am posting this to see if there is any interest.
