Harbor Freight Stacking Tilt Bin Dividers
prusaprinters
Divides the excellent and cheap ($3 in the US) STOREHOUSE 4 inch stacking and tilt bins available from Harbor Freight into multiple compartments.https://www.harborfreight.com/tool-storage-organization/parts-storage/4-in-stacking-tilt-bin-56327.htmlThese bins are fantastic! I became aware of them when I saw this YouTube video I made these dividers for cases where you have smaller quantities of a part and don't want to “waste” all the space of a whole 4 inch cube. Or you can sub-divide similar but slightly different parts. They are friction fit so they will stay securely inserted, yet remain easily removable.I have three different versions:50/50 split30/70 split33-33-33 (thirds) splitI ended up using all of them for my own organizational needs.Printing Notes:Supports are needed on the bottom. They come off cleanly with the standard support gaps, but you may need something thin and metal to pry away the support from the bottom like I showed in one of the photos. Once you get it started, it should come off clean. The support is needed because the bottom of the bins have a recess that this divider uses to “lock into” to help keep the divider secure.I would like to shout out @JSA1031_268673 who inspired me after I checked out and printed his inserts for the same Harbor Freight boxes. https://www.printables.com/model/476443-harbor-freight-4in-tilt-box-inserts. So check out his models as well. You may end up using a combination of my dividers and his insert boxes like I did.
