Harbor Freight Slimbar Flashlight Fixer
thingiverse
I needed a fix for my Harbor Freight flashlight, which was on the verge of breaking completely. This problem seems to be a common issue with these flashlights. I'm not sure what type of plastic they use to make the part that tends to break so easily - it's just too weak. Despite being handled carefully and spending most of its time in storage, my light eventually cracked when I finally got around to using it. A plastic cement repair didn't hold up at all, but wrapping a small hose clamp around the broken piece and screwing it tight has worked as an ugly temporary fix. To create a more permanent solution, I designed this part in Fusion 360. Unfortunately, my Ender 3 printer struggled with printing the part to the exact size I had specified in F360, so I ended up designing it oversized to ensure a proper fit. The part is intended to fit snugly onto the broken piece and jam into place tightly. If you experience any issues printing this part, please let me know.
