harbor freight sander tension handle

Shortly after purchasing my Harbor Freight disc/belt sander combo, one of the handles used to adjust the plate angle broke. The internal mechanism features a steel toothed ring that fits over a matching shaft. A spring-loaded design allows the handle to be removed and reset for different positions. My initial attempt lacked an angled straight handle, instead featuring two nubs for gripping and turning to tighten. To repair it, I glued the ring into place using super glue. The solution works effectively. You may find this helpful in your own endeavors. Feel free to modify the design to match its original form if you prefer.
