This is a replacement bracket for the thumb roller of Pittsburgh dial calipers that need to be upgraded. It also fits many other Chinese-made dial calipers, including a no-name metric one I bought from eBay in Malaysia. There are alternative versions of this part available on Thingiverse that look better or match the original design more closely, but I've designed mine with extra strength in mind, even if it's not as attractive. Since Cura struggles to support the inside curve of the U shape, I've included a second version of the Rev4b STL file with MeshMixer supports already built-in. This will make printing easier. Print Settings Printer: * DreamMaker Overlord Pro Rafts: No rafts should be used during printing. Supports: Heavy-duty supports are required to prevent warping or breaking. Resolution: The highest resolution setting possible should be used for this print job. Infill: 100% infill is recommended to add extra strength to the part. Notes: To achieve optimal results, print it slowly with the U shape facing upwards and the supports firmly in place. Minimal post-processing will be necessary after printing.
