Harbor Freight Combination Square Upgrades

The combination square from Harbor Freight has a critical weakness, its nut/screw assembly falls out when not attached to the ruler/straight edge. The tool is also rendered useless if more than one component is mounted at once. I designed brackets for each part to keep the nut and screw in place without compromising adjustability. Additionally, a small mockup of the ruler itself was included as an alternative solution to secure everything in its proper position.
