I created a modified version of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:271157 for my affordable Harbor Freight Chisels. Since they didn't have hanging holes, I had to get creative - there were no pre-existing screwdriver slots to grab onto. To resolve this issue, I customized a blank pegboard mount to fit the chisels snugly above my workbench. My full tutorial is now available on YouTube at https://youtu.be/rckXj80ji-c. Here are the details on how I brought it all together: * Printer: I chose the reliable Fabrikator Mini. * Rafts: Honestly, I didn't even bother with rafts; they weren't essential in this project. * Supports: Yes, my design called for supports to ensure proper layer adhesion and minimize potential print failures. * Resolution: For this particular piece, a resolution of 0.2mm proved ideal - clear and detailed every time! * Infill: To give it sufficient strength without making the overall design overly dense, I went with 20% infill. How It Came to Life The idea started when I came across http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:271157. That's when the spark struck - what if I customized that existing model to suit my specific Harbor Freight Chisels? The solution unfolded as I took the base design into Tinkercad and modified it, adapting the layout to match the chisel's profile precisely. With every tweak and refinement, I found myself growing more satisfied with the final outcome.
