Harbor Freight Battery Adaptor
thingiverse
This part allows you to connect your device to a cheap Harbor Freight drill battery while still being able to easily remove and charge on the standard charger. The batteries provide 18V of power and have a 1.3Ah capacity. With a simple regulator, you can use these batteries to power Arduino, Raspberry Pi, LED lights, props, and robots with ease. This mount fits tightly at first but slowly loosens over time. You can buy the batteries and chargers cheaply from Harbor Freight or find them on Amazon. Buying the battery and charger separately is an option, but it's often cheaper to purchase the drill, which comes with a charger and a battery. Be sure to find the thinnest washers possible of the correct size, as different thicknesses can be mixed together even within the same washer size. The correct washers should fit snugly into their slots, requiring a small amount of force to fit. This design was originally created in Autodesk Inventor.
