Harbor Freight Airbrush Cleaner Lid with Grip

I am redesigning the lid for STIG_'s airbrush cleaner. The existing design had tiny holes that were tricky to print, and I wanted to improve grip for easier removal. I've come up with this revised version. I tried printing this new design last night, but it still had the same issue as STIG_'s original - the holes didn't turn out right. STIG_ suggested a creative solution: slice off the top and bottom layers of the lid, then let infill act like a grate. I'll need to figure out how to do that before giving it a try. I've also created an alternative version with slots instead of holes. Hopefully, these will print more cleanly.
