Happy little cells (fibroblasts, keratinocytes and osteoclasts)

I crafted these engaging little cells for Discovery night in March 2018 at the University of Sheffield. For this outreach event, we created cell culture snow globes by attaching these printed cells to the bottom of some plastic pots, added some antibiotics (GLITTER!) and some media (food coloring), and there you have it! It was a fantastic day and an effective way to teach school kids about culturing cells and why we do it. I printed the cells on our TAZ 6 at 0.2mm layer height because I had to work quickly. The detail on the faces wasn't impressive, but with a fine-tuned printer, they would likely turn out better. Feel free to download, print, and enjoy! If you run a session with these, please add your name here, as I'd love to see it!
