I replaced the broken quick release on my Hanimex tripod with a new one, purchasing it from a local vintage shop where they sell used items at affordable prices. Despite having no idea what the original component looked like since I bought the replacement unit second-hand, this new plate securely attaches to the tripod and supports my cameras perfectly well.
