Hanging Wire Spool Rack
thingiverse
I'm hooked on the Adafruit hook-up wire spool set (https://www.adafruit.com/products/1311), but the cardboard box it comes in hogging my limited workbench space is a major problem.\nI've slapped together this hanging spool holder and it's completely solved the issue for me.\nThe workbench I'm using, which I got cheap from Bunnings Australia (https://www.bunnings.com.au/pinnacle-compact-garage-workbench_p2760256), inspired this design, but you can modify it to fit your own setup.\nI've included my original FreeCAD file if you want to make changes.\nPrint Settings\nPrinter Brand: FlashForge\nPrinter: FlashForge Creator Pro\nRafts: No Rafts\nSupports: No Supports\nResolution: 0.3mm Resolution\nInfill: 25% Infill\nNotes: Adjust as necessary for your printer, this was a super quick ABS print and 25% infill seems strong enough.\nPrint it twice, of course!\nPost-Printing\nThe wooden rod that came with the design was slightly too big to fit in the holes, despite my precise measuring, so I rounded the edges about 5mm from each end with a file. You should do the same until it fits snugly.\nYou might also need some tape or adhesive to keep the hooks from sliding around.
