Hanging Vertical Planters
thingiverse
Print as many planters as you like, then create your own hanging garden for a sunny window. To display them, punch holes in the models so strings can pass through to hang them securely. I used superglue to attach base parts inside each planter's bottom, keeping them from shifting around excessively. For my lower planter, I printed an enlarged base to fit. However, it wasn't completely waterproof at first, but a couple of coats of nail polish fixed that quickly. After Printing Drill or melt holes in the planters' sides for hanging purposes. Securely attach base plates to the bottom of each planter. Tie the planters together, trying to keep them level and balanced. Attach them to a wooden beam or any suitable support - I tied all strings to a bamboo rod, then hung it up near a window using little hooks. Fill the planters with potting soil or other planting medium (I used coir) and add your preferred plants. Carefully hang the setup without letting it fall behind shelves, potentially spilling potting soil everywhere.
