Hanging Towel Rack
thingiverse
For those of us living in apartments and unable to drill into walls, I've created a towel rack that hangs above a sink. Most designs require drilling or sticking something to cabinets or walls, but I prefer not to damage rentals, so I made one using friction instead. The goal was to create a rack that would allow towels to drip into an existing basin, rather than pooling on counters or trays where mold can form. To achieve this, the clamps are from a Thingiverse design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1673030), and I modified them to fit around the plate and chopstick cutouts. I only used half of cheap poly carbonate chopsticks in the holes, but you can use anything you want – they were just readily available. Note that a rounded corner cube in the SCAD file doesn't work on the z-axis; there are alternatives out there that do function properly.
