Hanging Spool Holder
thingiverse
UPDATE: Added a bit more play to the rollers. Secured bearings in place with a cap on the bearing stud. Look for the V2 roller and stud files to make this change. I couldn't find a spool holder that met my requirements, so I designed one myself. The main requirements were as follows: 1. Mount vertically inside my enclosure to reduce weight on my printer frame. 2. Use rollers or bearings instead of dragging over a fixed arm like basic spool holders. 3. Design to prevent new spools from unwinding and tangling. In addition, it feeds straight down so if the filament jerks for some reason, it won't go anywhere. For flexibility, I made it mountable on either side or use an included adapter for rear mounting. Printed without supports Rollers are removable to fit larger spools up to 100mm wide. Required Screws: 1 M3x12-14 Screw and hex nut for the top of the holder 4 M3x12 screws and hex nuts for the center loop 4 M3x12-14 screws for attaching the bearing stud Optional 4 M3x16mm long screws and hex nuts required for the horizontal mount adapter.
