Create a QR code-emblazoned gift with a RickRoll surprise by scanning it against a light background. The design was first tested on a Shapeoko 2 mill setup but can also be made with a laser cutter, CNC plasma cutter, or 3D printer. Use the provided gcode file for an 8" x 8" x 0.3" cut suitable for materials like 1/4" or 1/5" plywood or MDF. Paint the front black and display against a light background or cast a shadow. Inkscape and Makercam were used to generate the SVG file and gcode, respectively. Cutting was done using a ShapeOko 2 with a Dewalt DW660 spindle and 1/8" carbide bit at settings of Profile, step down=0.025 in, feed rate 30 in/min, plunge rate 10 in/min, taking about two hours to complete.
