Handcrafted Planter Gift for Mom: A Unique DIY Project. For Mother's Day, I created a one-of-a-kind planter using my 3D printer. To give it a personal touch, I deliberately swapped the color scheme when the vertical section transitions into the spherical shape. To ensure stability and maintain its structure, I printed this piece upside down with supports in place. However, based on my analysis, you might be able to get away without using supports altogether - but I haven't tried it yet to confirm its feasibility.
