These designs enable you to craft planters that conveniently hang right in your window! The attached files comprise open-topped mason jar lids featuring a robust loop on the rim. When paired with a secure locking suction cup hook, you can safely suspend them from your window or any other smooth flat surface. I developed these because I require effortless access to my herb garden while cooking due to my reluctance to venture outside for trimming. Inadequate trimming causes herbs to rapidly go to seed and lose their flavor. If you're planting pre-sprouted herbs like the ones in the photos, I strongly suggest utilizing a wide-mouth jar of at least 1 pint (16 oz) capacity to accommodate the plant. Additionally, consider using a tinted color mason jar to shield the plant roots from sunlight and add visual appeal. The photos showcase lettuce, oregano, dill, mint, and a robust spider plant.
