Hanging Locker Organizer
thingiverse
I was in a bind at work, needing to store things after forgetting my car keys, so I decided to repurpose the door of my locker. Since I couldn't find what I was looking for on site, I designed one a few years ago using a makeshift method that connected pieces together, but it broke quickly and had been held together with glue ever since. When it finally gave out, I knew I needed a better solution. This time around, I used dove tail joints, which should hold up much better than my previous concoction. My design may be crude, but my locker isn't a display case. The top plate is the hanger plate, #1, which is meant to be hung through the vent slits found in most metal lockers. You can then use any utility plate you like; I currently have two options, but I'll add more if this system proves effective. To create a daisy chain of utility plates, use an intermediate plate, #3, between each one. This allows you to add as many utility plates as you need, or until the plastic fails, whichever comes first. The design is meant to be printed with orientation in mind, with some facets sloped to aid bridging and hard point supports added for adhesion. You shouldn't need to add supports when slicing. If this system works out, I'll add more features like pictures and additional plates.
