The wood utilized is regular 1x2s sourced from Home Depot with a 0.25-inch round over edge. Two pieces are required, but their length can vary. A substantial hole must be drilled in the front of each piece to accommodate the wire threading process. The two pieces are then secured together using screws and the brackets are screwed into place. Finally, the shade can be mounted on a standard light fixture by inserting 2 screws into the wall.
