Hanging (flying) saucer

<p>I wanted a discrete way to hang plants from our curtain rod. Using a thread and needle the thread can be passed through 5 holes in the edge of the saucer, and in the other end attach the hook. Most hanging plant fixtures are permanent in it's design, and swapping them out or watering can be messy. But by making the saucer the only thing suspended, those problems are minimal.</p><p>By having the thread pass inside the edge of the tray, it sits very seecure, and there is no way it can pop out of its seating.</p><p>&nbsp;In addition, using thin but strong sewing thread the plants almost appear to float in mid air creating an interesting effect.</p>
