Hanging Bicycle Wall Mount
thingiverse
I remade the design from other concepts on Thingiverse because I love modeling and wanted to create something myself. To ensure safety around smaller kids, I redesigned how the bike attaches to the wall. Many other models use the pedal, but I opted for a more secure approach. A small ball-end bungee will wrap around the frame and connect to a sturdy anchor point. The Frame Anchor can be printed in two orientations; neither seems stronger than the other, so it doesn't matter which way you print them. To err on the side of caution, I over-engineered the design, making it more robust than necessary. The Wheel Rest is designed for 700C x 32 wheels and tires but should accommodate various sizes. I may upload additional sizes to test my parametric design skills further. The mounting holes are specifically designed for #8 (0.16 inch) screws that mate with drywall anchors for a secure fit.
