Hanger for JBL Flip 4 Speaker
prusaprinters
Update: (22 May 19) I printed two sets in PETG and brought my speakers on the last trip. The brackets did their job. I think I need to buy more speakers, though, as two weren't quite loud enough. :) I have an annual bus trip with a group, for which the last two or three were on a bus with no Bluetooth or even an auxiliary line-in jack. I scored a deal on a couple of JBL Flip 4s recently and figured they'd be ideal for this trip...but there's no provision for hanging them from the overhead racks. That's where this hanger comes in. Print two of them, line the inner surface with some felt to keep your speakers from getting marred, and clamp them around each end of your speaker with an M3 screw and nut. They're designed to allow full access to the controls and ports (especially the charging port) on the speaker without needing to remove the bracket. The flat bottom will also keep your speaker from rolling around on a flat surface. The design isn't fully parameterized, but I made the inner diameter easy to change as I went through different sizes to see what would fit best. It wouldn't take much to change the design to accommodate other cylindrical speakers. This started out as a three-piece design, but I decided before the first print it'd be better as a one-piece design. I commented out some screw holes that would've been needed for the three-piece design. PETG is flexible enough for one-piece printing. I haven't tested the design with PLA. Print Settings Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 20% Notes: Use 3 shells. (That's not a Demolition Man reference, I swear. :) ) Two will barely fit on a 220x220mm bed with careful positioning. Category: Audio
