These clamps are designed to fit a carbon filter with an outer diameter of 7.8". These types of filters usually feature a 4" intake/outlet flange, and are often used in indoor gardens, and airbrushing fume hoods. They feature a small flat foot on one side to aid in aligning the rings before tightening things down. These Clamps work best on filters that use a pre-filter over the perforated metal outer casing. If you do not use a pre-filter (you should), you can glue on a few strips of craft foam or craft felt to the inside of the rings to take up the small amount of gap. Fits this type of filter: 4 Inch Air Carbon Filter Which is also found in this kit. Uses M3x3mm knurled brass heat-set inserts found here.
