Hangar 9 J3 Piper Cub Electric Motor Mount

I fabricated this motor mount to support my electric brushless motor on the firewall of the Hangar 9 1/5th scale Piper Cub. The plane was originally designed for a Gas/Nitro motor. When installed, the mount significantly enhances the stability of the motor on the fuselage and eliminates all radial movement under throttle. Print Settings: Printer: Wanhao i3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Infill: 60% Post-Printing: If your bolts are larger, I had to use a drill to open up the part where the motor mount bolts run through with a drill. There were no other modifications required post-print. I created this design in 123D Design and sliced it with Cura.
