This project began as a reimagining of the original FablabTorino organizer, but it was significantly revised to accommodate my specific requirements and ensure seamless compatibility with my K40 laser cutter from China. I found that this particular device has limitations when working with larger dimensions, thus imposing a 31x22cm size restriction. The newly designed box utilizes three millimeter thick MDF or equivalent materials that can be cut and tailored according to individual specifications. Notably, the base of the design incorporates reinforced components for added stability and durability. To maximize resource efficiency and ensure optimal use of material, I have incorporated cutting edge optimizations in the AI file specifically engineered to complement Chinese CorelLaser software. These settings align with standard Adobe Illustrator 3 format files. Feel free to download, cut out your custom boxes, and leave any feedback or suggestions. A vital update has been implemented regarding a previous release: the original AI file contained missing lines that have now been rectified through an updated version available for direct download. Important Specifications for Customized Usage: This box design is tailored specifically for K40 laser cutters manufactured in China with maximum workspace dimensions of 31x22cm. One complete box can be constructed using two pieces, each measuring 31x22cm, which must then be securely fastened together using wood glue. The material chosen for construction should ideally have a thickness of three millimeters.
