Hangable Compost Bin Bucket
thingiverse
I made this to hold compost scraps under the sink until I could take them outside to the recycling bin. It hangs on the door with two screws partially screwed in. The size of this print is fairly big: 270mm long x 210mm deep x 190mm high. If you print it at 45 degrees, you can fit it into a bed at about 250 x 250mm. I used a Lulzbot Taz printer which gave plenty of room, even printing the handle along with the bucket. Of course, scaling is another option. The handle needs to be glued to the lid after printing. It should be obvious how that goes. I used TitanX ABS filament and had no warping problems with that. When printing with plain ordinary ABS, I found that the following temperatures prevented warping and splitting: Nozzle: 260C, Bed throughout: 135C, Environment chamber 42C. I printed on a TAZ printer which can handle an object this large. If you have a smaller printer, you could scale down the sizes. If you make the mistake of running this through your dishwasher, it might warp and the lid might not fit any more. Also, the revised lid takes less fidgeting to put on top. Use 20% infill for that.
