Originally published in "Wood" Magazine's Issue 35 in June 1990, this project showcases a useful tool. It was modeled using Solidworks 2016 software, and rendered with Simlab Composer 8 Mechanical Edition. Frames were edited in Virtualdub before being saved as AVI/X264 and BMP formats. The video was then remuxed to MP4 format using MyMP4BoxGui. GIFs were created from the renders using PhotoScape, while IrfanView was used for editing. The 3D-PDF and SIMLAB files are animated, and the model is available in various formats including Solidworks 2016, Simlab Composer 8, DAE, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, OBJ, 3D-PDF, SketchUp, 3DS, DWF, and FBX.
