Hands-Free Door Attachment (Step to Open)

<p>This print is a Hands free/touchless door system. It consists of a thin plug insert that friction fits into a standard door frame strike plate and a slide-on step plate designed to the width of a standard American door.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Attached in “Other Files” is a PDF with screenshots taken form an instillation video that I made. As you can see there and in the attached photos the plug friction fits into place and step plate effortlessly slides on. When the system is to be removed for locking the door simply remove the plug and choose toe either remove the foot pedal or leave it installed.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This system is completely removable, can be installed in less than 10 seconds, and does not damage the door or frame in any way. This provides a good deal of benefit to commonly implemented systems seen throughout 2020 and 2021 which required a step plate be screwed into the door and offered no solution to door without existing systems to remain unlatched. This is more versatile and requires no drilling or permanent alteration of the door which it is installed to.&nbsp;</p>
