Handred80 is a project developed by Mariela Benítez at the Universidad Nacional de Asunción. It's designed for adults with wrist disarticulation, leveraging forearm rotation (supination and pronation) to make hand prosthetics easier to use. The functionality principle is similar to transradial amputation prostheses, which are activated by elbow flexion. The Flexy Hand from Steve Wood was modified to create this device. This prosthetic varies significantly in the wrist area (palm base and socket) from person to person, requiring adjustments on an individual basis.
