Handlebar Endcaps

Handlebar Endcaps

I use these to cap the handlebar ends of my flat-bar road bike. I make them out of a polycarbonate-polyethylene blend. With a shaft diameter of 17.2mm, they fit snugly inside my Deda Dritto handlebar.

I use the standard-length endcap on my left grip. On my right, I use the extended-length variant to bridge a 14mm gap between the end of this rather narrow 500mm bar and the end of the grip. The grip can't quite slide all the way on because that side of the bar is a bit overloaded with controls. To keep the grips equidistant from the stem with this setup, I shifted the bar 7mm leftward.
