handlebar device for E-NABLE arm
thingiverse
I'm a designer for E-Nable France, and I created this handlebar device because just last week I built an arm for a 12-year-old girl who had always dreamed of riding a bicycle. Her dream was finally within reach! Since she could easily take off her new arm quickly, I designed it with safety in mind. The 360-degree rotation feature meant no strain on her arm or shoulder. I've received some exciting news lately - she's now able to ride her bike effortlessly and even goes to school alone! The handlebar is specifically designed for a wrist diameter of 3.2cm, ensuring a perfect fit for her hand. I used Rhino 3D to design it, which isn't a parametric CAD file. Take a look at the photos showing how we secured it in place - just the right position for easy riding!
