Handle spare for Kenwood kMix kettle
thingiverse
Replacement part for broken handle printed on PC-Max, capable of withstanding heat stress. The push button is made of PLA and positioned to avoid overheating next to the kettle body. This customized part is designed to print without or with minimal supports, ensuring a smooth printing process. Once finished, sanding helps to achieve a precise finish. To install the replacement button, align it carefully with the grooves inside the hole and push it in firmly. Before attaching the handle to the boiler, check if the button moves freely. If not, adjust the button's size by scaling down its dimensions and reprinting it. When preparing your 3D model for printing, rotate the handle 4° around the X-axis so that it lies flat against the build plate. This adjustment was necessary due to a change in the handle's angle later in the design process, as it is difficult to modify the bottom plane in Fusion 360. Note: The thin plate beneath the screw holes serves as a workaround for overriding supports in Slic3rPE. It enables the use of the "supports from build plate only" functionality without generating unnecessary supports for the holes. This feature may not be relevant if you are using a different slicer.
