The Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary tele is an exceptionally good lens, boasting many excellent qualities. Although it weighs in at 1.9kg, a considerable amount for a lens of its kind, it still manages to be lighter than its sibling, the Sport version. However, despite this advantage, it necessitates the use of a handle due to its substantial weight. The tripod mount/handle provided by Sigma is too small to be practical, making it challenging to maneuver the lens with ease. This is where a custom-designed handle comes into play, offering a comfortable and secure way to carry the lens. The design allows for easy removal and assembly, requiring only M3 screws and nuts to get started. When using this handle, it's essential to keep the strap on the lens at all times and hold it securely in place. This secondary safety harness provides an added layer of protection against accidental drops or damage to the camera/lens combo.
