Handle for Plastic Razor Blades

Handle for Plastic Razor Blades

prusaprinters

This is a handle for plastic razor blades used for scraping labels or other gunk.  I wanted a couple extra handles since the package supplied two. The blades should just snap into the holder. Please don't use for actual razor blades, it would be dangerous. Only use on those plastic razor blades used for scraping.Fusion 360 file provided for modification.Uses about 3.6m / 10.45g of filament, good for scraps of filament you have laying around.I provided two versionsPlain handleHandle with thumb grip I also provided a simple box that holds five spare plastic razor blades if you would like one. These were useful for giving away a handle with a few spare blades.Hope this tool is helpful. Print orientationPrint the file with the default orientation. It should look like the image below. Plastic razor blades I usedI used orange plastic razor blades from Amazon. My blades were 38.3mm long, 17.9mm wide and 1.3mm thick. The handle should fit something reasonably similar. The fitment should be rather snug. The center hole in the blade should snap into the matching post on the handle. Sometimes it just needs a little wiggling to get it lined up. If the post is too big a diamond file or something similar works great for making adjustments.Post Printing CleanupSimply remove the two pieces of support material using a flat blade screwdriver. Print SettingsPrinter: Ender 3 Pro w/ direct driveRafts: NoSupports: YesResolution: 0.15-0.2mmInfill: 15% or higherShells: 2+
