Handle for outdoor faucet / sillcock / hose bibb / spigot / hydrant

*IMPORTANT: My first design broke after a few uses due to the stresses on the printed collar that fits over the valve stem, just like the OEM version. I have modified some of the tolerances since then to strengthen the design in the version that is uploaded here, but use at your own risk. If someone finds a way to strengthen this further, feel free to upload a remix. I'm leaving this design here in case someone finds a use for it.*

This is a handle designed as a replacement for a Prier Products Mansfield sillcock faucet handle. The valve stem on this faucet is 3/8" with a 1/4" bolt in the middle. The packing nut surrounding the valve stem is 0.6" inner diameter. Unfortunately, due to this and the fact that the valve stem is also flush with the packing nut, there is little room left for reinforcement of the collar that fits over the valve stem. The originals have the same issue, and fail in the same location. There were other faucet handles on Thingiverse, but none that would work for this faucet.

Note that this does need a small support for the countersunk bolt. I would also recommend to print with 3 wall lines.

Print Settings

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

40% Gyroid

Filament:
Inland PETG

Notes:

3 wall lines
Printing in ABS would likely be better.

Category: Replacement Parts
