Handle for mini files with 3mm shaft

cults3d

Simple file handles for tiny hobby projects with a 3mm shaft fit perfectly when pressed on firmly, although you might need to widen the hole slightly if your printer has issues with elephant foot deformities. You're right; there are probably hundreds of other file handles available on Thingiverse, and some may be more refined than this one. Unfortunately, searching for models online has become a frustrating experience lately due to technical issues, so I decided to create my own designs from scratch instead. My first prototype fit well, so here it is. If you're reading this, either by chance or after successfully navigating the 5 minutes of search results on Thingiverse that are actually useful, then great! To print these file handles, I recommend standing them upright with a generous brim – at least 8-10mm should do the trick to prevent them from falling over during printing. Once printed, remove the excess brim material and secure the files in a vise. Then, use a hammer to tap the handle firmly into place. And that's it!
