Handle for Hållbar 3l
thingiverse
I bought a Hållbar 3 litres bin with lid at ikea, for my kitchen compost waste. To fasten it on the inside of the cupboard door I found plenty of good models here on Thingiverse to choose from! But I also wanted to add a handle to the bin, to make it easy to carry with me into the garden to empty it. This is what I ended up with! I printed the handle with supports (in the holes for the fasteners). After printing I removed the supports with needle nose pliers. I then drilled out the holes with an 8mm drillbit to get rid of support remnants, and to make sure the holes were the right size. I also printed two each of the fasteners (the smaller goes into the bigger one, and of course, two pairs are needed). To assemble I drilled an 8,5mm hole in the center of each short side of the top rim of the bin. I then put the handle in place with the larger fastener parts on the outside, and the smaller on the inside. Just to make sure it would all stay together, I added a small drop of super glue inside the bigger fasteners before pushing in the smaller ones.
