Handle for a Curta calculator
thingiverse
A colleague of mine possessed an antique Curta calculator that boasted a faulty handle. So, I took charge of designing and printing a replacement for him. The new handle was crafted using OpenSCAD software, while the knob was manufactured with precision using "Parametric Knurled Nut Knob," a clever design found on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:439239). To ensure smooth rotation, I attached the knob to the handle with an M3 screw and two washers. The handle itself was securely fastened back onto the Curta's axis using its original tiny bolt.
