I fashioned a straightforward grip for my dust pan. It's secured to the garage wall, and sans the handle, it necessitates two hands to bring it down. With the handle securely in place, I can effortlessly take it down and put it back up with one hand. Clearly, I could have located a basic handle at the hardware store, but that would likely have required drilling new holes, making this a more convenient direct bolt-in solution using longer bolts.
