Handle Cutting Guide - Router cutting guide (parametric)
thingiverse
Make handles in sheet materials eg plywood easily with this router guide. This simple parametric openscad model makes creating a useful guide for cutting out handles using a router a breeze. Mark out where to cut the handle, then attach the guide with small screws onto your sheet material. Drill a hole large enough to clear the cutter, and route out the handle hole using the guide to support the bearing of the cutter. The flush cutter will leave the hole with straight flat edges. For a more comfortable handle, remove the guide, use a radius cutter with a bearing on both sides of the hole. Loads of screw holes are provided so you can secure the guide exactly where you need it. Get neat handles every time! To use this design in openscad, save both "router_arc_guide.scad" and "router_handle_guide.scad" into the same directory. Alternatively, download and print the .stl file and it's ready to go. This model was created with an opening of 120*30mm at the largest dimensions.
