We have some pot lids which have metal handles and get too hot for comfort, so I designed some covers to be installed over top of them (using a bit of glue on the edges & tabs). The handles fit the large & medium sized lids (I haven't bothered to create one for the small lid).I'm doing a test with PLA, and I think they should be Ok since they're essentially formed around the handle and not under any load or tension. For now, I advise that you print them using ABS or PETG; in order to withstand the higher temperatures they'll run into. Update 2023-04-11:  PLA printed handle covers worked just fine in my test, with a pot of boiling water for 10 minutes.  An infrared thermometer showed they hit a peak of around 77 to 80 degrees Celcius but the handles were Ok.   I'll update this note, after we've put them through more extensive real-world usage.
