Handheld Camera Steady

The most useful camera accessory I have ever created is this fig rig camera steady. It revolutionizes handheld camera shots, making possible shots that were previously impossible when holding the camera on its own. To create a handheld camera Steady you will need: 3D Printed Parts: 1 x 001115 Camera Platform Base 2 x 000714 Corner Foot 4 x 000709 Corner 135 Degrees 1 x 001117 Mounting Screw Lock (updated) Non-printed parts: 1 x 1/4" Mounting Screw (with or without Ring) 0.39"/10mm Shaft 1 x M6 Plain Washer 1 x 1/4 Inch Threaded Diameter Insert Rivet Blind Nut (Optional) 1m x 21.5mm overflow pipe Suitable glue (superglue) Instructions: Study the attached drawing pdf for an exploded assembly view (001116 Fig Rig Camera Steady). Cut five 140mm and two 150mm lengths from the pipe. Glue the 150mm pipe lengths into the base, ensuring corners are at right angles. You may find it helpful to glue a 140mm pipe into the corners first to gauge the angle accurately. Glue the remaining 135-degree corners into the 140mm pipes and assemble the frame. If you're fitting the 1/4 Inch Threaded Diameter Insert Rivet Blind Nut for tripod mounting, glue it in place. Thread the washer onto the mounting screw and insert it into the underside of the base. Glue in the Mounting Screw Lock to secure the mounting screw and washer. Attach your camera and enjoy! For more details, including an assembly video, visit www.dualpeaks.co.uk.
