This handlebar mount for Samsung Galaxy S5 not only lets you place your phone safely at a great position to see your GPS app, speedometer, music app, or whatever, but it also charges the phone wirelessly while you ride. Just put the phone in the mount, flip up the self-locking top, and start driving. Made for 1" handlebars, this mount can easily fit smaller diameter bars with a thin rubber sheet or electrical tape between the handlebar and the mount. A year of revisions has led to version 16, which is packed with tweaks and practical solutions. The size may seem big at first, but it's designed for stability, safety, and clearance. You don't want your phone breaking apart and dropping off when you're cruising at 140km/h. That's why this mount provides stability. It also adds a safe distance for the wireless charger to avoid interference from other metal objects like handlebars. The mount is clear of any handlebar clamps that fix the handlebar to the bike, tested and verified on a Suzuki VL800 Volusia with risers. Small tweaks include: A self-locking visor/lid that keeps your phone in place while riding. The air pushes the lid down, making it impossible to move the phone up more than a tiny bit. Visors come in three sizes; print the one you want. Easy access to all buttons, including Volume up/down, Home, and Power (Power button requires opening the lid first). Access to the headset jack. Lower side walls for easy lifting of the phone from the mount. A recess for the camera to minimize the risk of scratching the lens. Immersed holes for nuts and bolts for a clean look and better stability. Drain holes for rainwater. Wireless Qi pucks are available on eBay for about 3€. You can also disassemble any cheap Qi charger or get a DIY kit and hot glue it to the inside of the center cover for perfect alignment with your receiver pad in the phone. Shopping list: If your phone doesn't already have it, you need a Qi receiver. Search for "S5 Qi receiver" on eBay or your favorite electronic store. 1 x Qi charger (69x9mm) or DIY kit; search for "Qi charger" on eBay or your favorite electronic store (often bundled with the S5 Qi receiver). 5 x M6 bolts, stainless steel with round Allen head (40mm long, not including the head). 5 x M6 locking nuts, stainless steel.
