This set of interchangeable parts can be used to transform a standard desktop pedal machine into a handcycle pedal machine that is highly adaptable and scalable. Note that you might need to make some adjustments to the design itself in order for it to fit your pedals. I bought a set of cheap pedals with the correct thread pattern, cut off some excess plastic, and then modeled them so they could be secured using cable ties. The package includes a wrist-collar and two extenders - one flat and one at 15 degrees. There are also left-hand and right-hand handles available in two different versions: one with a rounded insert and the other with a square one. You will need to print two wrist-collars, two extenders, and one handle each, depending on your hand size. I print these parts using PLA with 30-50% infill to ensure they are solid and durable. Eventually, I plan to switch to ABS. These parts are still being tested and refined, so it's a good idea to keep an eye on them or check back periodically for updates. There are two versions of the handles available - one designed specifically for rounded pedals and the other for square ones. I will also be uploading a generic version, although the square one is quite versatile. Assembly and Use: If you have sufficient finger mobility, you may not need to use the collar or extender, and can simply grip the handle. However, if you require wrist support, you can use the collar to enable a "pull" grip while cycling. You may need to wrap some tape or cushioning around the collar and handle for added comfort. Once you've found the correct configuration, you can glue or screw the parts together as needed. This might involve drilling additional holes in the exact spot where they need to be secured. Photos of a right-hand assembly are attached, including the collar. The collar needs to be scaled so that the wrist fits snugly into the gap horizontally, but doesn't slip out when the arm is upright. Some scaling, cutting, or sanding may be necessary... If you already have a handcycle with para-grips, you can still use the collar and extender to add wrist support as long as the extender can be attached to the bottom of the grips on your bike. Keep in mind that getting this right is not just a matter of printing and assembly - you will need to try out a few different configurations, scale the models, and possibly make some adjustments to the pedals to get them working properly.
