Hand Washing Timer holder

Hand Washing Timer holder

Our school received hand washing hourglass timers from our local Health Department to help kids wash their hands for exactly 20 seconds. To attach these timers to our soap dispensers, I designed clips using 3M hook stickies. The clips are designed to rotate where two pieces meet. I assembled them with 6x1-1/4 steel wood screws, which have a small space near the head without threads to allow the clip to spin freely. This design holds an hourglass timer with a diameter of 5/8 inches or about 15.6 millimeters. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture from the classroom since our school has been closed for months and we're still waiting to return. Once we go back, I'll add a picture and maybe even a video. To print the wall part, place it with the flat side down. Print the clip on its side so that it resembles a C shape when lying in bed, and this way layer lines won't break when inserting or removing timers. For added stability, I used supports for the cylinder at the back of the clip.
