Hand sewing clamp
prusaprinters
This clamp holds fabric while you hand sew. Then you can slide the clamp out from under the threads and pull them tight. Clamp the next section and continue. The comb helps to keep stitching evenly spaced and helps prevent the fabric from slipping while you are sewing it.It uses a medium binder clip (about 32mm wide) for the clamping force.AssemblyPrint two combs and one of each kind of back (four parts total). They are all four combined into one .3mf and .gcode file called “Binder Clip Sewing Clamp”.Slide a back over the tops of the comb and engage the two dovetail connectors. The back should line up with the sides of the comb - if they don't line up flip the comb around and then engage the dovetails. Repeat for the other back.Squeeze open a medium binder clip and push a clamp onto the binder clip jaw edge, which fits into the slot. Repeat for the other jaw. Push them in as far as you can so the tips of the comb meet. When assembled, the two flat bottoms of the combs touch at the tips and the two backs face away from the clamp. Also, the two sides of one back keep the other back aligned side-to-side so that the slots in the comb are aligned so that the needle that passes through one slot lines up with the slot on the other side.
